To begin a meditation, you simply pick up Core and put your thumbs on top, and the countdown should begin.
If this isn’t happening — if holding your Core doesn’t cause the meditation to start playing — there could be a few reasons why.
- Make sure that the player “orb” in the middle of the screen says “Pick up Core to Begin.” If it’s displaying any other message, you might need to reconnect to your Core, or charge its battery, before you can begin a meditation.
- Make sure Core is not on the charging base when you’re attempting to start a meditation. You’ll need to pick it up out of its cradle first.
- If you have more than one Core, make sure you aren’t connected to different Core (other than the one you’re holding.) The app can only be connected to one Core at a time. If necessary, you can force the app to “forget” the device it’s currently paired to, and re-pair to a different one.
- Make sure you’ve updated to the most current version of the Core app. The easiest way to make sure you’re always running the latest version is to enable automatic updates on your phone.
- If these other methods don’t work, you can reset Core by pressing and holding the small white button on the bottom of your Core for about 7 seconds. You'll see Core’s lights cycle when the reset is successful. Once you've done this, you’ll need to re-pair your Core to the app again — even if you’ve done so previously (resetting the Core causes its connection with your phone to be “forgotten.”)
