Pairing a Core to Your Phone
During initial setup, you’ll pair your Core to your phone, so it automatically remembers and connects to that specific device every time you open the app.
There may be cases where you need to pair to your Core again, though. If you’ve deliberately unpaired your Core, or if you’ve manually reset your Core by holding down the button on the bottom, you’ll have to re-pair.
To do this:
- Navigate to the “Profile” tab.
- Next to the icon of the Core, it should say “Core isn’t set up.” (If it says “Your Core”, then you are already paired to a device.)
- When you proceed to the pairing process, the app will instruct you to make sure that the Core you want to pair with is nearby, then it will search for it. When the app locates a Core device, you’ll see the lights on the top of it cycle once. Pick up the device and place your thumbs on top for a few seconds, and the pairing will complete.
- If the app isn’t able to locate the device you’re trying to pair to, refer to this article for some troubleshooting suggestions.
Unpairing Core from Your Phone
Core can only be connected to one phone at a time. If you’re trying to connect your Core to a different phone — or you’re trying to connect your phone to a different Core device — the first thing you’ll need to do is tell the app to “forget” the previous pairing.
To do this:
- Navigate to the “Profile” tab.
- Next to the icon of the Core, it should say “Your Core”. (If it says “Core isn’t connected”, you aren’t currently paired to a device.)
- Tap “Your Core”, then tap “Forget Device.”
💡 Tip: If you have multiple Cores, and you aren’t sure which one your phone is currently paired to, go to the “Profile” tab and tap on “Your Core.” Then tap on the big picture of the Core. You’ll see the lights cycle on the top of whichever device you’re currently connected to.
